Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
Author Guidelines
Article types
Five types of articles within scope of the journal can be submitted to the Interdisciplinary Journal of Yagya Research (IJYR)
Original research article
An original article provides an overview of innovative research in a particular field within or related to the focus and scope of the journal, presented according to a clear and well-structured format. Theoratical original research article should also follow the same structure to that of empirical study. The manuscript should be between 2500 to 7000 words (excluding references and abstract page).
Review Articles
Systematic reviews should follow the same basic structure as other original research articles. The aim and objectives should focus on a question that will be addressed in the review. The methods section should describe in detail the search strategy, criteria used to select or reject articles, attempts made to obtain all important and relevant studies and deal with publication bias (including grey and unpublished literature), how the quality of included studies was appraised, the methodology used to extract and/or analyse data. Results should describe the homogeneity of the different findings, clearly present the overall results and any meta-analysis. The manuscript should be between 2500 to 7000 words (excluding references and abstract page).
Perspectives
Perspective is a short research article and follows the same pattern to that of original research article. The manuscript should be between 1000 to 2500 words (excluding references and abstract page).
Case study
The case study should highlight a critical issue that is relevant to the field of Yagya Research. The manuscript should be between 2000 to 7000 words (excluding references and abstract page).
Opinion
Opinion is non-peer reviewed short article from the expert in the field or related field of Yagya. The manuscript should not be more than 1500 words (excluding references and abstract page)
Preperation of Manuscript
General guidline
File format: Microsoft Word documents compatible with Microsoft office 2003/ 2007/ 2010
Font: Times New Roman, font size 12 for English and Arial Unicode MS Font size 12 for Hindi
Paragraph and Page margin: typed in double space and one-inch margins on A4 paper.
Page Number: All pages should be numbered consecutively at the right corner of the page.
Headings: Heading 1: Non Italic & Bold; for example, Methods; Heading 2: Italic; for example, Statistical Analysis; Heading 3: Non Italic; for example, Paired t-test
Language: Contributions can be submitted in English or Hindi language; Manuscripts submitted in Hindi are required to submit abstract and references in English too
Title Page
Title: Concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
Author names and affiliations: Please indicate author(s) name clearly. Present the authors’ affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript immediately after the author’s name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name, and, if available, the e-mail address, and telephone/mobile number of each author.
Corresponding author: Clearly indicate who is willing to handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also the post-publication. Ensure that telephone number (with country and area code)/mobile are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address.
Total Figures & Tables: Mention total number of figures and tables
Word count: Mention total word count (Except Title page and References)
Sponsoring information: If the research is sponsored or supported by an organization, please indicate it.
Article type: Mention type of article i.e. Original research article / Review / Perspective / Case study / Opinion
Structure of manuscript
Abstract
An abstract is a succinct (one paragraph) summary of the entire paper.
A concise and factual abstract is required (200 to 250 words).
The abstract should state briefly the aims, methods, results and major conclusion of the research.
From the abstract, a reader should be able to make out what the content of the article. Hence it requires special attention of the author.
An abstract is often presented separate from the article, so it must be able to stand alone.
References should be avoided.
Keywords
Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 8 keywords, avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, ‘and’, ‘of’).
Introduction
The main purpose of the introduction is to provide the necessary background or context of the study (i.e the nature of the problem and its significance).
State the specific purpose or objective of the study.
Provide a brief but appropriate historical backdrop and the contemporary context in which the proposed research question occupies the central stage.
Methods
Methods section must succinctly describe what was actually done.
Describe the source population and the selection criteria for study participants.
Identify the methods, apparatus, and procedures in sufficient detail to allow other workers to reproduce the results.
Authors submitting review manuscripts should describe the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting and synthesizing data.
Describe statistical methods with enough detail to enable a knowledgeable reader with access to the original data to verify the reported results.
Results
Authors must avoid repeating in the text all the data provided in the tables or illustrations and graphs as an alternative to tables with many entries or duplicate data in graphs and tables.
This section must focus on scientifically appropriate analyses of the salient data.
Figures and Tables
Each figure and Table must have title/legend.
Legends of figures and tables must have a starting descriptive sentence summarizing the content with boldfaced font.
Detailed explanation of figure legend should followed afterwards in non-boldfaced font.
Discussion
This section must emphasize the new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow from them.
For experimental studies it is useful to begin the discussion by summarizing briefly the main findings, and then explore possible mechanisms or explanations for these findings.
Compare and contrast the results with other relevant studies, state the limitations of the study, and explore the implications of the findings for future research and practice.
References
References must be written according to the vancouver reference style.
Responsibility for the accuracy of bibliographic citations lies entirely with the authors.
Citation in the text
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa).
Avoid citation in the abstract.
Citation of a reference as ‘in press’ implies that the item has been accepted for publication
Citations in the text must follow the vancouver reference style.

Copyright
Authors will retain copyright to articles submitted to the Interdisciplinary Journal of Yagya Research if accepted for publication and published. Authors will allow the journal to publish and archive the article under the CC BY license (Creative Commons Attribution License) 4.0 International.

Interdisciplinary Journal of Yagya Research is an Open Access journal and applies the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license (Creative Commons Attribution License) 4.0 International.
